European Huntington’s Disease Network (EHDN)


The European Huntington’s Disease Network (EHDN) is a not-for-profit research organisation committed to advancing knowledge of HD, supporting the development of better therapeutic interventions and improving the quality of life of families affected by HD.

Our strategy is (1) Advancing research, (2) conducting trials and (3) improving care

EHDN has more than 2,000 members in 50 countries. We are led by an elected Executive Committee who are advised by an elected Scientific and Bioethics Advisory Committee.

EHDN has dedicated staff (central coordination) to support our operations (legal, administrative, science management) and we closely collaborate with IT experts e.g. in the design and maintenance of research databases.

EHDN has built up a network of 160 expert HD clinical sites in 18 countries in Europe. We have a team of language area coordinators native to the countries involved in EHDN, who support EHDN study sites in establishing and maintaining clinical trial infrastructure.

EHDN is supported by, and closely collaborates with, CHDI Foundation, Inc.
